mission:

Supervise the daily operations of the Assistant Executive Housekeeper promoting a safe environment and quality service to achieve maximum guest satisfaction protection of assets and minimal expenses. Position supervises daily operations in maintaining the maintenance/sanitation of the guest rooms public areas laundry operations and pool/health club. Recommends and implements procedural changes; monitors inventories and expenses.

  • Supports hotel by ensuring completion of regular maintenance and cleaning projects
  • Assists in special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in Leading develop and inspire a housekeeping team through effective hiring training and performance management.
  • Foster a positive collaborative work environment and be a handson team player.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and adherence to safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Monitor expenses and maintain budget control including optimizing labor and supply costs.
  • Step in to clean guest units when needed to maintain operations and minimize expenses.
  • Address guest/owner requests and resolve concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with engineering on maintenance issues.
  • Collaborate w/ Exec Hskpr on department improvements and increased department efficiencys.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

  • Prior Experience:
    • At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
    • Supervisory experience required
  • IT Expertise:
    • Advanced knowledge of computer software (including Microsoft Office outlook) and web analytics tools is preferred.
  • Education:
    • 2year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
    • Or 4 year college degree at least 1 year of related experience
  • Subject Expertise:
    • May require long hours depending on occupancy
    • Medium work exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects.
    • Ability to stand during entire shift.
    • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
    • Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
    • Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
    • Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
    • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
    • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information data etc. from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
    • Must be effective in listening to understanding and clarifying the issue raised by coworkers and guests.
    • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions.
    • Second language may be required.
    • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all property safety and security procedures as required and maintaining a secure and safe environment for employees as well as guests.
    • Report any unusual occurrences and/or request to Supervisor.
    • Read and abide by all the regulations and rules of conduct stated in the Associate Handbook.
    • Must be service oriented with excellent customer service and sales skills
    • Must be able to effectively communicate to guests management and coworkers and read write and understand the English language
    • Must be energetic and outgoing
    • Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Must be able to follow directions with attention to detail speed and accuracy
    • Must be a team player with the ability to work under minimal supervision
    • Must be able to multitask in a fastpaced work environment
    • Must have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Opera; preferred.
    • Must be able to exercise confidentiality and discretion.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

  • Abide by payroll policies procedures and rules of conduct as stated in the Springboard Hospitality Associate Handbook.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of all company safety and security procedures.
  • Travel required: As needed for hotel familiarization content creation shoots and to meet with colleagues.
  • Hours Required: Must primarily work during Springboard Hospitality business hours Monday Friday 8am 5pm (PST) while understanding that the hotel business functions 24/7 and some weekend or holiday work may occasionally be required.
