Work Arrangement: Hybrid This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Mountain View CA Austin TX or Warren MI three times per week at minimum.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic software development team. In this role you will be responsible for designing and developing highperformance user interfaces and scalable backend services that power GMs nextgeneration eCommerce experiences. Youll work closely with product managers designers and engineers across functions to deliver seamless and engaging customerfacing solutions.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to key initiatives including the redesign of our Notifications Platform and the broader evolution of our OnStar services ecosystem. The ideal candidate is an experienced software engineer with deep proficiency in frontend technologies and a strong understanding of backend integration who thrives in collaborative fastpaced environments.
Develop and maintain responsive accessible fullstack applications that meet product and design specifications.
Collaborate with product UX and backend teams to translate wireframes and business requirements into highquality code.
Implement best practices in code structure style testing and documentation to ensure longterm maintainability and performance.
Integrate RESTful APIs and services to create seamless crossplatform user experiences.
Drive performance optimization scalability and reliability across frontend and backend components.
Mentor and support junior engineers through code reviews and technical guidance.
Resolve production issues quickly and effectively to maintain uptime and customer satisfaction.
Explore and recommend modern frameworks tools and processes to improve development workflows.
Communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project goals.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement openness and crossfunctional teamwork.
5 years of professional experience in frontend and fullstack software development.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript HTML5 and CSS3.
Deep experience with modern JavaScript frameworks particularly React (others like Vue or Angular also applicable).
Familiarity with Shopifys Hydrogen or similar eCommercefocused frameworks.
Experience with CSS preprocessors (e.g. SASS/SCSS) and CSSinJS libraries.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and backend integration strategies.
Demonstrated expertise in responsive design accessibility and crossbrowser compatibility.
Excellent debugging problemsolving and communication skills.
Strong team player with a proven ability to work in a collaborative hybrid environment.
Familiarity with the Shopify Plus toolset including Hydrogen Oxygen and its supporting ecosystem.
Advanced experience with React Hooks Redux or Context API.
Familiarity with TypeScript.
Knowledge of build tools and bundlers such as Webpack or Vite.
Experience with testing frameworks like Jest Cypress or React Testing Library.
Exposure to eCommerce platform architecture and domain knowledge.
