Join a highperforming seniorlevel networks team tasked with architecting designing implementing and maintaining a largescale missionessential multiagency network infrastructure. This environment demands faulttolerance low latency and strict security compliance supporting several programs under a unified set of agency requirements. You ll play a key role in shaping and sustaining secure scalable and resilient networking environments across data centers transport layers and racklevel infrastructure. This is a handson onsite engineering position with opportunities for leadership innovation and critical mission impact. Job Responsibilities:
Architect and implement secure highavailability network solutions supporting missioncritical systems.
Maintain and optimize LAN/WAN architecture routing protocols and transport layer technologies.
Configure and troubleshoot Juniper and/or Cisco network hardware and software.
Ensure compliance with strict government security and performance standards.
Collaborate across engineering disciplines and programs to support scalable enterprise needs.
Lead technical discussions and present solutions to internal stakeholders and government customers.
Requirements
Required Skills:
5 years of professional experience in network engineering architecture and system maintenance.
Handson expertise with Juniper (preferred) and/or Cisco networking platforms.
Proficiency with key protocols and technologies:
TCP/IP IPv4 UDP TLS VPLS GRE
OSPF EIGRP BGP
EVPN over BGP/VXLAN or MPLS/VXLAN
Multicast STP VLANs Trunking
LAN/WAN configurations and firewall/ACL security controls
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Security or CISSP certification.
Desired Skills:
Juniper certifications (JNCIA JNCIS JNCIP JNCIE).
Cisco certifications (CCNA CCNP).
Experience scripting in Bash Python etc.
Background in Linux/BSD system networking and administration.
Familiarity with multicast protocol design and troubleshooting.
Demonstrated leadership or ownership in engineering design reviews.
Willingness to travel (CONUS and OCONUS).
Required Education:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience.
