Position Summary:
To ensure guest satisfaction by delivering product quality and consistency and executing excellence through the entire guest experience. Give personalised guest service and connect emotionally to guests.
Primary Duties:
- Respond to guests requests in a timely manner.
- Be familiar with all equipment used within the laundry and Valet cleaning sections including safety and cleanliness aspects.
- Ensure that cleaning fluids and chemicals are correctly used and stored.
- Understand operations in all areas of laundry be able to work in all areas of laundry and Valet to assist and direct team members.
- Be able to identify different types of fabrics and their laundering requirements.
- Organise movement of dirty and clean laundry and of guest valet service.
- Affectively roster for all areas of the laundry.
- Conduct weekly tool box meeting if its required.
- Maintain stock for laundry chemicals and Linen/toweling levels and report to Manager.
- Be able to control and class items according to fabric and colour.
- Launder items according to established formulas and procedures.
- Ensure that productivity is ongoing and prioritise the laundry attendants work allocation as required.
- Ensure the safe operation of laundry and valet at all times.
- Understand and maintain all laundry KPIs.
- Keep daily productivity log books updated.
- Ensure that damaged linen or uniforms are sent to the Uniform Room for repairs or recycling.
- Show due care of all equipment report maintenance issues to Manager and escalate to Maintenance Department.
- Report Equipment breakdown or safety issues in your work to Manager or escalate to Maintenance Department to address depending on severity.
- To attend work on time ensuring that you are at your workstation in line with your rostered shift requirement.
Team Leader Primary Duties:
- Collect all keys needed for laundry.
- Ensure Safe Startup of laundry machinery and completion of the machinery checklists.
- Work in all areas of laundry and Valet to assist and direct team member.
- Ensure the safe operation of laundry and valet at all times.
- Create handover and supervisors check list for next shift.
