Job Description

What You Will Achieve

  • EHS

  • Performs routing and nonroutine Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
  • Safety selfinspections (works toward eliminating deficiencies)
  • GMP

  • GMP record entries (minimal errors maintained)
  • Excellent Aseptic Behavior (minimal Personnel Monitoring (PM) hits)
  • Suggests / implements unit corrective actionsthrough IMEx
  • Maintains audit readiness (GMP/5S) and works toward resolving deficiencies
  • Filling Operations

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all computerbased systems/programs used in Filling
  • Able to provide SME guidance in troubleshooting and adjusting all line equipment
  • SME for line changeovers/setups Ability to troubleshoot and escalate issues accordingly
  • Sr. Technician assists Operations Specialist and Maintenance during troubleshooting activities
  • Performs daily & nondaily Filling processes with high level of proficiency
  • Performs advanced Filling processes
  • Proficient in advanced alarm response
  • Ensures the incoming shift is set up for success and provides an end of shift handoff
  • Completes scheduled Operator Care (or TPM) activities
  • Production planning and scheduling expertise
  • Effective communication with peers and units upstream and downstream
  • Supports investigations and document redlines
  • Manage personal time and professional development taking accountability for results and prioritizing workflow.
  • Contribute to project and department tasks providing direction and training to team members and may act as a lead worker.
  • Be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert within your field.
  • Proactively identify and resolve basic complexity problems considering wider implications.
  • Complete assignments independently selecting appropriate methods and ensuring team assignments are completed.
  • Review nonstandard work for technical soundness and may review others work.
  • Adhere to Pfizer standards guidelines and values influencing teams and contributing to developing departmental standards.
  • Monitor and respond to equipment needs adhering to SOPs cGMPs and safety requirements.
  • Adapt standard methods using knowledge and experience assist in training others and improve processes using Right First Time and Lean principles.

Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Five years as an Operations Technician OR Six years of relevant GMP experience in an aseptic environment (e.g. filling manufacturing prep or similar) OR Three years of relevant GMP experience and an Associate degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Automation) Engineering Technology or a related applicable discipline that will enable the team to meet its mission OR BA/BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Automation) or a related applicable discipline that will enable the team to meet its mission
  • Demonstrated ability to perform various functions of a highly repetitive nature while maintaining concentration on tasks
  • Proven capability to understand and follow written procedures
  • Ability to work independently or in groups effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent problemsolving skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks
  • Mechanical experience / knowledge

Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):

  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or a related field
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical Demands: Job tasks may include frequent bending lifting and twisting motions. Ability to stand upright for several consecutive hours. Absence of any medical restrictions which could restrict completion of all required duties. Workers may be exposed to Electromagnetic Fields within this position. Additional demands are area specific. Work Environment: Colleague must work near moving mechanical parts and may be exposed to airborne particles which require appropriate safety protection noise levels may require protective hearing devices eye protection required. Practices and promotes a safe working environment at all times. Area specific gowning will be

required. Aseptic gowning is required for work responsibilities within the aseptic area. Language Skills: Effective written and oral communication skills required. Demonstrated reading comprehension and writing proficiency at a level that meets Job Summary requirements. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse individuals/groups resulting in desired outcomes. Mathematical Skills: Strong math skills with the ability to calculate necessary batch calculations.

NONSTANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to work overtime weekends and holidays as necessary. The Sr. Operations Technician will be required to work A/B/C weekends support the daytoday floor operations daily line assignments including frequently staffed to a line as a technician as needed. Work requirements will include adherence to aseptic gowning procedures and work practices in the aseptic processing area


Work Location Assignment:On Premise

The salary for this position ranges from $27.41 to $45.69 per hour. In addition this position offers eligibility for overtime weekend holiday and other pay premiums depending on the work schedule and the Companys policies.
