You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Director GEAR UP (Program Coordinator SR) has primary responsibility for ensuring the success of the USU STARS! GEAR UP project. USU STARS! GEAR UP is a federally funded program designed to help students prepare for and succeed in college. GEAR UP starts working with students in 7th grade then follows those same students up through their first year out of high school. Schools and community partners have teamed up to provide services to students parents and educators to increase academic rigor knowledge of financial aid and enrollment and success in higher education. The primary duty is to be responsible for the overall management of the project leading the management team working with all the partners and serving as the liaison to the U.S. Department of Educations GEAR UP Office. Other duties may include the following:
Lead the close out of the grant which involves wrapping up all budget needs developing record keeping strategies and final reporting.
Commits to integrity; performs duties with diligence in accordance with professional standards and enforces University policies and procedures; uses relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws regulations or standards
Participate in professional development attend seminars and conferences and maintain professional contacts win the community to remain knowledgeable of current college access and success best practices.
Disseminate evidencedbased program impacts to local and national audiences
Effectively communicate with Executive Director Department of Education Project Program Officer and external evaluator
