Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive inspections on incoming used vehicle inventory.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues across various makes and models.
- Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes brake jobs tire rotations etc.).
- Identify and document needed repairs using approved inspection forms.
- Collaborate with service advisors and managers to prioritize repairs based on resale needs.
- Ensure all work meets dealership quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and proper function.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work environment.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment efficiently and accurately.
- Keep detailed records of services performed on each vehicle.
- Assist in ordering parts and communicating delays or issues with service advisors/sales managers
- Ensures work area is kept clean and organized including trash scrap and floor cleaned daily.
- Understand and follow federal state and local regulations governing service repair work.
Job Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is a plus.
- 2 years of experience as an automotive technician (used vehicle experience preferred).
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
- PA State Inspection License Required
- PA State Emissions License Required;OBDII Emissions preferred.
- ASE certifications are a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong diagnostic and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostic systems and software.
