Main Responsibilities:
To develop and maintain a comprehensive Early Engagement Programme (EEP) within Dorset. The EEP is designed to broaden the talent pool within the county and inspire lifelong engagement in cricket for boys and girls aged between 9 and 12.
The role will be supported by the Representative Cricket Coordinator for some operational and administrative tasks.
Alongside the Head of Talent Pathways develop a coaching ethos throughout the pathway that all coaches will adhere to
Developing and implementing coaching plans for the EEP
Leading and developing a team of coaches to deliver a quality EEP programme
Oversee a fair and transparent selection process across the programme
Provide regular progress reports on progress to the Head of Talent Pathways and evaluate programme outcomes
Attend Representative Cricket Committee meetings as required
Develop a player talent identification process that enables the fasttracking players into CAG as necessary
Ensure that there is a smooth transition for players between the EEP and CAG programme
Always represent Dorset Cricket in a positive and professional manner
Essential skills and qualifications:
A desire to see young Dorset cricketers flourish
Eligibility to work in the UK
Minimum ECB Level 2 or Core Coach coaching qualification
Safeguarding accredited
Membership of the ECB Coaches Association
Proven track record of developing talented players
Coaching in Development and Performance environments
Excellent leadership and administration skills
Ability to build strong and sustainable working relationships and partnerships
Full and valid UK driving license and vehicle access
Drive to achieve key performance targets
Desirable skills:
Sound IT skills (Microsoft Office email etc.)
Use of performance analytical tools
Collaborative approach to working
Proactive character with a can do attitude
First Aid accredited
