Job Description
Brief Description:
A wellestablished property investment company seeks a detailoriented Property Accountant to join their finance team. The successful incumbent will be responsible for maintaining financial records preparing accurate financial reports and ensuring compliance with IFRS for SMEs. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a sound understanding of accounting systems and property finance
Duties & Responsibilities
Job Description:
Maintain accurate financial records using ACCPAC MDA and CaseWare
Reconcile all accounts periodically and process invoices receipts and returns
Prepare monthly quarterly and yearly financial statements and profit and loss accounts
Assist in audit preparations and respond to audit queries
Maintain supporting documentation and financial records of subsidiaries
Analyze financial statements manage cash flow and ensure tax compliance
Assist in budgeting and provide commentary on variances
Draw up trial balances and balance sheets
Ensure safeguarding of all financial data and compliance with updated standards
Skills & Experience:
Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and South African tax legislation
Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organizational analytical and problemsolving skills
Ability to handle complexity and present data clearly
Proficient in ACCPAC MDA and Caseware
Qualification:
Degree in Accounting (Articles advantageous)
