What will you do

The Key Account Manager Food Retail is responsible for the sales and growth of the organizations products and services within the food retail sector by understanding their needs providing solutions ensuring their satisfaction and building longterm partnerships through both facetoface and virtual interactions. Additionally this role will work to grow and expand our book of business within the food retail industry.

In this role you will dig in with key food retail customers to impact sales and the growth of the organizations products and services by understanding their needs ensuring their satisfaction and building longterm partnerships through facetoface interactions. Additionally this role will work to diversify the customer portfolio by adding new business. Primary Place of Work

Ideal candidate will live in Phoenix AZ or the Dallas/Fort Worth TX area with the ability to home office. This position requires up to 50% travel to AGas sites customers suppliers or other sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain longterm relationships with identified food retail customers through frequent interactions solutionoriented consulting and maintain high level of customer service and satisfaction
  • Develop strategic sales and growth plans to meet or exceed company goals
  • Identifies and onboards new accounts to expand and diversify the customer portfolio
  • Ability to leverage and understand both local and national regulations/legislation as it pertains to the Food Retail sector
  • Reviews market analyses to provide input into customer needs price schedules and rates
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Service on promotions and programs that have positive impact and provide superior customer service
  • Responsible for managing their own time effectively identifying possible barriers to getting the work done and seeking support when needed
  • Ability to work quickly both independently and collaboratively
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote products
  • Any other task as reasonably required

Experience Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required with experience in sales or 5 years of relevant industry related experience in lieu of degree
  • Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time to see customers and build relationships
  • Previous experience working in Industrial Gas and/or Solution Selling; Refrigerants and/or HVACR experience preferred
  • 3 or more years experience in B2B sales
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to analyze data and sales statistics to drive business results
  • Experience in the Cold Storage Industrial and / or Commercial Refrigeration Industry a Plus
  • Understanding of Refrigerant Recovery a Plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM products

Pay for this role will be commiserate with candidates experience. This role will be eligible for base pay plus our sales incentive commission plan.
