The Department of Labor and Industry King of Prussia Referee Office is seeking a highly motivated organized professional capable of functioning in a fastpaced challenging legal environment. In this role you will have the opportunity to support the Referee staff in processing UC appeals filed from determinations issued by UC Service Centers (UCSC). If you possess dedication a positive attitude and excellent organizational skills we strongly encourage you to apply and become a part of our legal team.
As a Legal Assistant 2 you will provide administrative and legal support to the assigned Appeals Referee and Referee office. A key responsibility will be managing the Referees hearing schedule. This includes preparing hearing notices scheduling or rescheduling hearings and handling receipt of documents after the hearing is scheduled to determine if the records are received in a timely manner for distribution to the other parties. Work involves proofreading and verifying Referee decisions from digital recording or typed drafts. This position requires you to proficiently navigate computer applications and systems to maintain electronic and paper files. Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing is essential as you will be expected to greet customers and handle telephone calls emails and in person visitors seeking information.
