Under the supervision of the Associate Director of Pharmacy Clinical Services and reporting to the Residency Program Director (RPD) the resident is responsible for providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care and services to FCS (Florida Cancer Specialists) and Rx To Gos patients. The Specialty Pharmacy service requirements include but are not limited to: handling oral oncology medications prescription verification REMS (Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy) compliance patient counseling and other functions necessary for optimal specialty pharmacy performance. Demonstrates working knowledge of all facets of role relevant regulations and organizational and departmental policies and procedures. Performs other duties and projects as assigned. Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies and procedures.
The resident is expected to uphold all districtwide policies and procedures as well as Clinical Pharmacist expectations. The resident is required to complete program requirements to be awarded a certificate at the end of the year as described in the residency manual. In addition to learning experience rotations the resident will serve as a clinical staff pharmacist.

Education:
Pharm D. or Bachelors in Pharmacy. The applicant must be a citizen of the U.S.A. or hold a visa allowing for the completion of the residency year. The applicant must desire to be a highly motivated pharmacist wanting advanced education and training that leads to an enhanced level of professional pharmacy practice.
Certifications/Licenses:
Active Florida Pharmacist License in the state of Florida OR Pharmacy Intern License in Florida
The Pharmacy Resident is expected to complete licensure examinations and all other requirements. Failure to complete the licensure process will affect their ability to provide patient care. If the resident fails to become licensed due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. failure of an examination) a meeting will be held between the Residency Program Director the Director of Pharmacy members of the Residency Advisory Committee selected preceptors and the resident to develop an action plan which will include a plan to become licensed no later than 90 days after the start of the residency. Residents who have failed to obtain licensure within 90 days of the start of the residency will be dismissed from the program.
Previous Experience:
Working pharmacy knowledge principles and practices of pharmacy Federal and State laws
Specialty Pharmacy/Oncology experience is preferred.

The resident will be a selfdirected independent motivated learner guided by the RPD and the appropriate preceptor(s) for each learning experience.
Must be able to work effectively in a fastpaced multisite environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.
Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Word Excel Power Point and Outlook required.

Standard Core Workdays/Hours:
Monday to Friday 8:30am5:00pm Saturdays 9:00am1:00pm and oncall after business hours on a rotating basis. Generally the workdays and hours follow the Companys standard work week; however the employee may need to work additional days/hours as necessary to complete their assigned responsibilities.
