Job Description

Join The Upper Canada District School Board

We are seeking to hire for CoOp teacher(s);16 depending on student enrolment.

Travel is a requirement of this position.

POSITION: CoOp Teacher

LOCATION: TBD

NUMBER OF POSITIONS: 16 depending on student enrolment.

Start Date: June 9 2025

End Date: August 5 2025 or 110 hours whichever comes first


There is a mandatory training session at the TR Leger Kemptville Campus: Date to be determined.

Rate of Pay: article 24.06; con ed rate under provision of Bill 124

Up to 110 hours of instruction total

Summary:

Under the direction of the Principal of Summer Semester the incumbent will work to implement UCDSB initiatives for the safe delivery of the CoOp Summer School Program.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • An Ontario Teachers Certificate of Qualification
  • Member of the Ontario College of Teachers in good standing
  • Qualifications in Intermediate/Senior
  • Minimum of three years fulltime equivalent teaching experience in CoOp preferred
  • Part 1 Additional Qualification for CoOp preferred

References if applicable:

The UCDSB requires your current and two most recent direct supervisors if applicable.

If your experience is in a daytoday occasional capacity ensure that you list the length of time that you worked for that Supervisor and whether the assignment was casual daytoday or in a longterm occasional capacity.

Placement Teacher References: If providing a Placement Teacher as a reference The UCDSB will require confirmation and approval from the Principal at the Placement School that the deferred reference (Placement Teacher) is approved to provide reference on behalf of the Principal.

The UCDSB does not accept colleagues or personal relationships as references.

Selection Process:

Positions are filled in accordance with the OSSTF Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement and/or PPM 165 where applicable.

The UCDSB selection process includes a review of required qualifications interview and assessment process and reference checks where applicable. All employment offers are conditional on candidates providing a valid criminal record check for the vulnerable sector.
