Spring 2026 Electrical/Controls Engineering Co-Op West Chester OH Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM The Co-op position is a temporary hands-on learning opportunity for a student enrolled in a cooperative education program. We are looking for engineering students to aid in the design and implementation of control and/or electrical systems for automated material handling equipment. This is project/application-based work that provides new and varied technical challenges from one project to the next. Duties / Responsibilities Using AutoCAD for electrical design including device layout schematic and control panel design and communication architecture. Assisting and shadowing Senior Engineers. Performing component selection and bill of material preparation. Configuring standard PLC programs for real-time control of automated equipment and collection of diagnostic and production data. Assisting in on-site technical checkout of material handling equipment and controls.
Required Skills / Abilities - Have exposure to AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
- Have exposure to programmable logic controllers (PLC) or programmable automation controllers (PAC).
- Enjoy working as a team to lead the way in providing superior solutions to our customers.
Education & Experience - Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in electrical engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
- Currently pursuing a bachelors degree in computer engineering Computer Engineering Technology or Computer Science
Work Environment This is primarily a desk-based role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based mobility within the office manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues. Physical Requirements - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to traverse office manufacturing facility and customer sites.
