Spring 2026 Mechanical Engineering Co-Op - Project Execution West Chester OH Monday - Friday 8 AM - 5 PM As a project mechanical engineering intern / co-op with Trew you will gain experience with many aspects of the project execution process. This will include building layouts system design technical drawings and revisions to equipment lists. Duties / Responsibilities Setting up drawing packages for the project engineering team. Generating detail views of the material handling equipment to be provided by Trew. Updating drawing packages based on provided redline details. Plotting drawings to be shipped to project sites to support installation. Working directly with lead engineers. Updating process / procedure documentation as outlined by the project team.
Required Skills / Abilities Strong people skills with the ability to work effectively with other organizations and individuals at all levels. The ability to learn quickly and a desire to broaden your skills and experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Attention to detail especially as it pertains to drawing accuracy. Drafting experience of some kind preferred.
Education & Experience - Pursuing a degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Mechanical preferred).
Work Environment This is primarily a desk-based role requiring extended periods of sitting and computer use. While the role is mainly desk-based mobility within the office manufacturing facility and customer sites may be required for meetings and interactions with colleagues. Physical Requirements - Required to stand walk and sit; talk and hear both in person and by telephone; use hands and fingers reach with hands and arms for the use of tools to assemble heavy equipment.
- Regularly required to stoop kneel bend crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Travel less than 10%.
