About the Role
The Team Leader Scheduling and Service Coordination is responsible for leading a team of Disability Support Workers to deliver quality personcentred services while managing rostering and operational coordination. This role ensures efficient workforce planning compliance with standards and delivery of holistic supports aligned with individual needs.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leadership and Team Management
- Provide leadership and inspiration to team members delivering disability support services.
- Deliver daily supervision and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
- Facilitate staff training and professional development in collaboration with leadership.
- Guide the team through incidents emergencies and unexpected changes with a calm and solutionoriented approach.
- Ensure all team members operate within budget safety and compliance guidelines.
- Lead team meetings maintain a culture of accountability and foster continuous improvement.
Scheduling and Service Coordination
- Develop and maintain efficient personcentred rosters that balance client needs travel time and workforce capacity.
- Manage changes to rosters due to staff leave availability or service requests.
- Liaise with clients carers and internal stakeholders to confirm availability and ensure sustainable support arrangements.
- Monitor and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts gaps in service and resourcing challenges.
- Finalise and publish rosters within deadlines ensuring contracted hours breaks and award conditions are met.
- Support the onboarding and orientation of new team members through roster integration and scheduling processes.
Quality Risk and Compliance
- Participate in quality assurance audits and risk management activities including the maintenance of risk registers.
- Support and implement emergency and incident response procedures.
- Contribute to policy development system improvements and service evaluations.
- Ensure all scheduling processes comply with relevant legislation awards and funding requirements.
About You

- Minimum 3 years experience in rostering scheduling or workforce coordination
- Experience in team leadership within the human services sector
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Proficient in the scheduling platform Shiftcare and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and problemsolving skills
- Sound knowledge of geographic regions (for travel planning)
- Cert IV in Mental Health or equivalent (desirable)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check Working with Children Check and current First Aid and CPR Current Open Drivers Licence and fully insured vehicle.
