Job Description

Status: Per Diem 0.01 FTE
Hiring Rate: $16.66/hour
Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences (PNWU) was founded as a 501(c) (3) nonprofit medical institution in 2005 aimed at increasing access to health care in medically underserved areas of the Pacific Northwest.
The University currently offers the degrees of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Doctor of Physical Therapy Doctor of Dental Medicine Master of Arts in Medical Science and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy enrolling over 550 students annually with plans to develop other programs and/or colleges. Interprofessional education partnerships with other universities adds another 100 students to the population. The campus includes 300 employees with academic programming spread over a fivestate region.
PNWU is located in Yakima WA a city of approximately 95000 located in the southcentral part of the state near the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountains in a major agricultural and outdoor recreation region. The student assistant tour guide will assist with conducting campus tours for all academic programs and services at PNWU.
Essential Job Functions:
Communicate basic facts of all academic programs (MAMS DPT MSOT DMD and DO) and university services in a positive and professional manner. Answer questions or direct to participants to admission/recruitment team for follow up.
Lead campus tours for the Office of Enrollment Services Admissions & Recruitment for prospective and incoming students as needed basis. Onethree tours per week during peak seasons. Highlight facilities services and student life of PNWU to tour participants.
Performs other related duties as assigned and based on departmental need.
Education:
Required: Bachelors Degree
Experience:
Required: Less than 1 year
Desired Skills Knowledge and Abilities:
Ability to clearly articulate and address questions during campus tours; ability to take initiative and lead individual and group campus tours; and ability to communicate in a positive and professional manner
