Opera Australia is seeking a proactive and organised Deputy Company Manager to support the smooth delivery of rehearsals and performances. This handson role plays a vital part in coordinating the needs of the performing company and liaising across departments including artistic production staging technical and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
Support daily logistics for rehearsals and performances acting as a key liaison between artists producers and venues
Maintain and distribute schedules using Opera Australias scheduling software
Assist with artist welfare rehearsal coordination and backstage logistics
Coordinate communication across business units and external stakeholders
Organise travel accommodation and visa arrangements for artists
Reconcile department expenses process reimbursements and invoices
Support the planning of opening/final night events special projects and marketing activities
Represent Opera Australia with VIPs guests and at public events
About You
Proven experience in production coordination company or stage management
Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a collaborative mindset
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with ArtsVision iPOS and Tessitura desirable
A passion for the performing arts and a commitment to artist care and production excellence
