If youre new to the sector government funding may be available to help you complete a Certificate IV in Youth Work (or equivalent)and we can connect you with the right training providers to get you started!

About the Role:

As a parttime Youth Worker youll provide traumainformed care and support to children and young people in our Out of Home Care program. Your role is to help them heal grow and build a brighter futureand no two days are ever the same!

No Experience No Worries!

We welcome people from all backgroundswhether youve worked in hospitality retail admin trades healthcare education or something else entirely! If you have the right attitude a passion for supporting young people and a willingness to learn well help you:

Explore governmentfunded Certificate IV optionsso you can study at little to no cost!
Gain paid handson experience while you learn.
Receive mentoring and career support to set you up for success.

What Youll Do:

  • Provide daytoday care and support for children and young people.
  • Help with personal care education social activities and independent living skills.
  • Create a safe stable and nurturing home environment.
  • Offer traumainformed and positive behavior support when challenges arise.
  • Encourage connections with family culture and community.
  • Work closely with a supportive team to ensure the best outcomes for young people.

What Were Looking For:

  • A genuine passion for supporting children and young people.
  • Availability for rotating shifts (mornings afternoons weekends & overnights).
  • Adaptability resilience and problemsolving skills.
  • No prior experience requiredjust a commitment to learning!

What You Need to Get Started:

  • A Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
  • An NDIS Workers Screening Check
  • A National Police Check (well complete this for successful applicants).
  • A valid open drivers license.
  • A Certificate IV in Youth Work Child & Family or Community Services (or willingness to enrollwe can connect you with governmentfunded training options!).
