The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized professional and results oriented individual to serve as Performance Monitoring and Execution Specialist. Under general supervision this position will monitor the accountability of performance outcomes of foster care and intact family services by collecting and evaluating Department and private agency performance data through case reviews. The position will synthesize performance data into a comprehensive assessment of each Department team and private agency utilizing objective criteria. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about children and interested in playing a role in ensuring that children and youth receive the best services possible. Preferably requires a masters degree in social work; OR a masters degree in a related human service field supplemented by one year of directly related professional casework/case management experience; OR requires a bachelors degree in social work and one year of directly related professional casework/case management experience; OR requires a bachelors degree in a related human service field and two years of directly related professional casework/case management experience

The college or university issuing a bachelors or masters degree must be accredited and the degree program in social work must be approved by the Council on Social Work directly related professional casework/case management experience must be related to family preservation family reunification adoption youth development counseling and advocacy services or a related field.

This title is within the Upward Mobility Program. General Program information can be found by clicking on the Upward Mobility Program link or for specific title information at UMP Title Descriptions. There are three categories of UMP titles: 1) certificate titles which require passing a written proficiency exam; 2) credential titles which require the possession of a specified college degree and/or licensure; and 3) dual titles for which a certificate may be earned by following either the certificate or credential pathway.

This position DOES NOT contain Specialized Skills (as that term is used in CBAs).

Revolving Door Requirements:

Certain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/545 apply to this position. As a result the employee should be aware that if offered nonstate employment during state employment or within one year immediately after ending State employment the employee shall prior to accepting any such nonstate employment offer notify the Office of the Executive Inspector General for the Agencies of the Illinois Governor (OEIG) or may be subject to a fine.

Economic Interest Reporting:

This position has been found to meet the requirements in section 4A101 of the Illinois Governmental Ethics Act requiring the occupant/employee to file a Statement of Economic Interest. The Illinois Governmental Ethics Act (5 ILCS 420/4A et seq.) requires certain state officials and employees to file annual Statements of Economic Interest with the Office of the Secretary of State that will be made available for examination and copying by the public. All employees required to file a Statement of Economic Interest are also required to file the Supplemental Statement of Economic Interest with the Executive Ethics Commission. (See Executive Order 1509) Fines and penalties apply to untimely filings.
