Job Description:
Performs a variety of duties related to the coordination development and delivery of eventsscheduled in and around the Troesh Conference Center Atrium Rotunda and otherdesignated/approved areas within/around the Zapara School of Business (ZSB) facility.
Student coordinators will interface and communicate with internal and external parties that haveinquired/reserved usage of the requested ZSB location for their event. This includes ensuringthe appropriate staffing has been scheduled to facilitate the event equipment is available for theevent rental arrangements have been made schedule and conduct themoving/removing/resetting/cleaning/replacing of chairs tables stage furniture linens etc. andproviding quality customer care throughout the entire process.
Student Coordinators are responsible for communicating and confirming with other UniversityDepartments/personnel if their services will be needed and scheduled. Collaboratingdepartments include: Campus Safety and Security Custodial and Plant Services DiningCommons and Catering Information Technology (if applicable) and Risk Management. StudentCoordinators are the onsite management for an event and may need to engage introubleshooting any challenges that arise. Student Coordinators serve as a liaison with eventattendees guest speakers and ZSB staff.
Student Coordinators are expected to facilitate manage and work external and internal includes assisting the Troesh Audio/Visual Booth if/when needed coordinating andreceiving any rentals from confirmed vendors communicating with renters to ensure everythingis ready for their event preparing the rented spaces and commons spaces to ensure they areready for the event hosting the event and floating to various areas that might need assistanceor supervision providing basic cleanup in restrooms commons areas and other areas that arebeing used for the event cleaning up after the event and ensuring any equipment/furniture thatwas used/moved is back in the original location and in good condition and locking up/closing upall the areas utilized for the event including turning off the lights in the Troesh ConferenceCenter.
