Head of IT Service Delivery Gradeper annum
About the Job
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- Creating a vision and strategy for future service delivery using feedback and metrics based on current SLAs to improve overall service delivery continuously.
- Leading the delivery of a highquality user experience across all areas of IT service ensuring systems are fit for purpose and providing excellent standards of service.
- Managing the Service Desk Infrastructure Database and EndUser Compute functions within IT Services ensuring success in achieving business goals performance targets and agreed service levels.
- Overseeing the budget and procurement of IT assets including secure storage distribution and disposal of IT equipment.
- Engaging with senior stakeholders across the Council to ensure a shared understanding of changes to services and a usercentred approach to IT service delivery
- Setting and implementing strategies for monitoring and managing the performance of ITrelated systems and services.
- Leading the design negotiation and management of service level agreements and contracts with internal and external suppliers.
- Identifying strategic opportunities to reduce costs and manage strategic cost pressures for the Service Delivery teams.
- Ensuring compliance with information security policies standards and guidelines.
- Leading motivating and inspiring team members facilitating dialogue regarding expectations progress performance and development needs.
About You
Experience:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree or equivalent workrelated attainment or experience.
- Relevant certification(s) based on skills requirements.
- Experience in contributing to the development and implementation of policy and strategy.
- Proven expertise in their specialism(s) and an understanding of impact on the broader business and wider customer/organisation.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and mitigate organisational risk.
- Excellent communication skills capable of articulating business objectives to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
This role will be carried out via hybrid working consisting of a combination of remote working and office based working. Face to face engagement and communication sessions will be necessary.
