We are seeking an individual with a background in corrections security to lead our team as a Corrections Officer 3. In this role you will performing administrative and supervisory work in the care custody control discipline and nonprofessional counseling of inmates. As a Corrections Officer 3 you will serve as a Lieutenant and supervise subordinate officers by planning organizing assigning and monitoring correctional officer duties. Your role will include conducting inspections of all areas in assigned zones to ensure all officers are alert and diligent in the performance of their duties then completing a daily inspection report. You will provide training to new staff and interpret rules regulations policies and objectives of the institution for subordinates. You can expect to oversee daily schedules as well as plan and organize inmate movements to and from work assignments recreational activities and meal periods. Additionally you will conduct daily tours of inmate housing units address any concerns and participate in counseling inmates on problems associated with institutional adjustment matters of a personal nature.
