Job Description

Senior Director Strategy and Business Development Leader for Cabin Modifications and Maintenance

BGS is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior leader to head the Cabin Modifications and Maintenance (CMM) Strategy and Business Development team. This role is pivotal in shaping the overall strategy and business development plans for CMM ensuring alignment with Boeings organizational goals. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global market dynamics customer segmentation and competitive landscape and will be responsible for driving initiatives that position Boeing as a market leader. The leader will have the ability to drive integration and execution with strong change management leadership. Position can be located in either Seattle WA Plano TX or Long Beach CA.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:Lead and develop the overall CMM strategy including gated processes road maps and offerings to maximize organizational goals in design build cost and global partnerships with suppliers.

  • Product Line Ownership:Own the product line roadmap ensuring it aligns with market demands and leads to a dominant market position for Boeing.

  • Project Management:Oversee all organic and inorganic CMM product development programs across all Boeing platforms ensuring timely and efficient execution.

  • Competitive Insight:Monitor and assess services competitors providing insights to BGS leaders regarding market impacts and longterm changes in the environment.

  • Collaboration and Relationship Building:Lead collaboration with strategic partners including Engineering Maintenance and Customers. Establish and leverage direct relationships at the Csuite level to develop new offerings and capabilities.

  • Integration Across Capabilities:Integrate across various capabilities (IRC Encore Elevate JV) and global engineering resources to minimize costs and enhance efficiencies.

  • Investment Strategy and Discipline: developing business strategies and leading execution from design through manufacturing and certification.

  • Synergistic Offerings Development:Work with BGS to create synergistic offerings for customers including Parts and Digital solutions.

  • Partnership Development:Collaborate with BCA to develop and secure partnerships focused on engineering and supply chain enhancements.

  • Strategy and Product Development:Set new strategies and develop products/services up to Gate 4 (Ready to Launch) ensuring a seamless handoff to the Program Execution Team.

  • Cost and Schedule Accountability:Be accountable for meeting cost and schedule targets for organic development initiatives.

  • Customer Feedback Management:Develop and manage the approach for gathering customer feedback on organic development efforts.

  • Intellectual Property Coordination:Coordinate with other organizations to create integrated product offerings that secure Boeings intellectual property at all levels.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Proven experience in strategic planning business development and project management within the aerospace or manufacturing industry.

  • Strong understanding of global market dynamics customer segmentation and competitive analysis. Background in the cabin/interiors products/offerings preferred.

  • Excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels with ability to successfully lead a large global multiskilled program/teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive crossfunctional collaboration and integration.

  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a focus on results and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree in Business Engineering or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • A strong natural leadership style that moves people to act motivates and inspires excellence and innovation

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding targets goals and strong skills in program execution to schedule and budget.

  • Proactively and quickly makes sense of complex issues; responds effectively to complex and ambiguous situations; communicates complicated information simply

  • Gains others trust by demonstrating openness and honesty behaving consistently and acting in accordance with moral ethical professional and organizational guidelines
