SUMMARY
The Director of Parent Engagement and Events is responsible for the implementation of the goals of Catholic education as outlined in The Holy Sees Teaching on Catholic Schools (Archbishop Michael Miller):

Position: Director of Parent Engagement and Events
General Description: Reporting to the Chief Advancement Officer the Director of Parent Engagement and Events is responsible for fostering strong relationships between Bishop Lynch and its parent community while overseeing a strategic and impactful event portfolio. The role plays a key leadership position within the Advancement Office managing volunteer teams coordinating signature events and advancing parent participation in philanthropy and community engagement.
JOB EXPECTATIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Parent Engagement
Recruit lead and manage the Bishop Lynch Parents Association (BLPA) setting and achieving goals aligned with school priorities.
Partner with BLPA committee chairs to establish and accomplish annual objectives.
Provides excellent customer service to over 1000 current families.
Attend monthly BLPA meetings and collaborate on the agenda.
Work with the Director of Development to ensure a successful parent campaign each year.
Oversee the Friar Friends Program which connects new families with trained parent mentors.
Launch and manage the wordofmouth marketing campaign.
Supervise parent leaders ensuring they receive appropriate training development and recognition.
Collaborate with the Communications Office to ensure timely and accurate messaging through the parent portal and other communication channels.
Use data insights to inform and improve engagement strategies.
Events
Lead planning and execution of the Gala and Golf Tournament fundraisers including oversight of all logistics committees budgets and sponsorships.
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the 60 member Gala Committee and 15 Golf Tournament committee composed of parents and alumni.
Provide oversight and leadership to ensure the successful conclusion and followthrough of the Gala Golf Tournament and associated postevent gatherings.
Support and guide events hosted by the BLPA ensuring alignment with school values and goals.
Plan and coordinate additional donor engagement and communitybuilding events including but not limited to the staff and faculty appreciation events Freshman Rally Parent Social BL Sunday Homecoming Week activities stewardship events and holiday gatherings.
Manage event budgets with a focus on maximizing return on investment.
Partner with Advancement colleagues to identify eventrelated fundraising needs and secure donor support.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree required with 2 years relevant experience.
Proven experience in volunteer management event planning or community engagement.
Continuous attention to detail establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
Knowledge of various computer software applications including Word Excel databases and event planning software. Experience with donor databases; Veracross preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Comfortable working evenings and weekends for events as needed.
Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Must be able to discern between competing priorities.
Collaborative spirit with the ability to work across departments and with diverse constituencies.
