As part of the APEM Group Biosis is a team of expert consultants specialising in Aboriginal archaeology botany environmental approvals GIS historical archaeology historical heritage and zoology. We help clients navigate pre-planning planning and post-approvals for projects across Australia primarily in the eastern states. Since 1983 we have been guiding clients in making informed decisions about ecology heritage and environmental approvals.

About the role

Biosis Australia is growing and wed love you to be part of it!

We are looking for an entry level environmental science communications officer who can also support team culture development. Join our team in Sydney and grow your skills in a fast paced knowledgeable and supportive environment.

Help to manage and maintain our online presence

Help us manage networking sponsorships and staff culture

Work with one of Australias leading ecology and heritage consultancies

What youll do:

We have an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about environmental science and heritage communications and marketing to join our team in Sydney on a 12-month contract with strong potential to transition into a permanent role.

Working with our Marketing and Sales Leads the Communications and Events Officer will be responsible for helping to manage our social media accounts and website arranging marketing opportunities in the way of sponsorships and networking opportunities and supporting some internal culture building activities.

This is a diverse role that could see you scheduling social media posts on Monday booking consultants into a networking event on Tuesday writing a news article for our website on Wednesday and reviewing menus for the staff party on Thursday. Friday could be all the above!

With our employees spread over nine offices youll need great personal communication skills and maintain good working relationships across the business

To be successful in this role you will need:

Qualifications in communications marketing or a similar field.

Interest or work experience in an environmental science field

Experience managing online communications such as websites and social media.

Experience in event coordination.

Experience typical comms applications Canva Mailchimp and Later. Please include examples of your Canva designs.

Good proof-reading skills please include examples of copy you have written.
