Job Description

Position Overview

As a warehouse Trainer you will be responsible for implementing a Training Experience that drives employee engagement and retention for new hire Selectors and other nonexempt warehouse employees. You will work to build and sustain trusted relationships with business partners and Trainees ensuring their success in achieving weekly performance goals and proficiency in all job duties. You will also be responsible for the retraining and recertification of associates as needed.
In this role you will operate as an extension of the operations leadership team and demonstrate a genuine commitment to the success of the learner. You will be responsible for the safety quality and productivity of all new hire Selectors. This role requires the ability to drive results and maintain a safety focus through excellent communication and coaching abilities while demonstrating the C&S Values.

Competitive Wage
Shift: 2nd shift (4 day 10 hours must be flexible)

Job Description

Essential Functions (Responsibilities & Duties of Position)

Duties and Responsibilities Description and Percent of Time Spent

  • Trains new nonexempt employees in safe equipment operation selection practices productivity quality and efficiency as outlined in the C&S Training Experience. (25%)
  • Trains and certifies employees on power equipment while emphasizing company safety standards. (20% )
  • Coaches new hires in efficiency and monitors weekly performance standards. (20%)
  • Evaluates performance and provides feedback that addresses training needs and promotes development. (20%)
  • Shares observations and feedback with Training Leadership concerning new hire progress and development. Make recommendations on completion or extension of probationary period and issuance of discipline as appropriate. (5%)
  • Identifies training needs and makes recommendations on program effectiveness. (5%)
  • Motivates employees toward a higher level of performance and links job responsibilities to current business objectives. (5%)

Environment

  • Warehouse : Freezer (20F to 0F)
  • Warehouse : Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)
  • Warehouse : Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)

Qualifications

  • Documented success in current role
  • Previous warehouse selection and training experience required
  • Achieves or exceeds set performance attendance safety quality and efficiency goals
  • Positive attitude
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Excellent communicator. Clearly conveys and seeks information in a manner that is engaging
  • Successful working under pressure while maintaining company standards for safety and quality
  • Proven leadership and motivational ability. Models company values as part of all interactions
  • Computer experience; able to use current warehouse operation systems to track and monitor performance of hourly employee while in training
  • Able to monitor multiple employees (up to 10) at one time in various weeks of training
  • Physical abilities: Safely and efficiently lift up to 60lbs while walking/standing and engaging with new hires
  • Detail oriented a must. Ability to monitor multiple hourly trainees at various levels of training
  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures

Years Of Experience

  • 02 : Warehouse selection experience. Experience working in a production environment as a selector loader lift operator and/or other warehouses positions. Previous experience training in a warehouse.

Special Skills

  • Positive attitude. Bilingual a plus.

  • Successful working under pressure.

    Proven leadership and motivational ability.

  • Safety and Quality oriented. Detail oriented a must.
