NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORK Job Title: .5 EL Teacher / .5 Special Education Teacher (High School) Location: Minuteman Regional Technical High School Massachusetts Position Type: FullTime (Split Role: 0.5 FTE EL / 0.5 FTE Special Education) Start Date: 8/19/2025 Application Deadline: 10 days from posting date Position Overview: Minuteman Regional High School a public high school is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to fill a fulltime position split between English Learner (EL) instruction and Special Education services. This role supports students in grades 912 and requires collaboration across departments to ensure that multilingual learners and students with disabilities receive equitable access to rigorous academic content and supportive services. Key Responsibilities: As the EL Teacher (.5 FTE): Deliver English language development (ELD) instruction to high school English Learners in individual smallgroup and classroom settings. Collaborate with general education teachers to differentiate instruction and support contentarea language development. Administer language proficiency assessments (e.g. ACCESS for ELLs) and contribute to progress monitoring and state/federal compliance. Support the implementation of the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and WIDA ELD standards. As the Special Education Teacher (.5 FTE): Provide specially designed instruction aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Deliver direct academic and/or learning strategies instruction in inclusion and pullout settings. Participate in IEP meetings write IEP goals conduct academic evaluations and maintain compliance with all DESE regulations. Collaborate with general education staff families and service providers to promote student growth and inclusion. Required Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts DESE licensure in both of the following areas (or eligibility to obtain): English as a Second Language (512) Moderate Disabilities (512) Experience working with high schoolaged students. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Commitment to inclusive education and culturally responsive teaching. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a public high school setting. Bilingual or multilingual proficiency. Familiarity with WIDA SEI strategies and IEP platforms (e.g. Aspen). Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and MultiTiered Systems of Support (MTSS).
