This position provides support to special education students throughoutthe West Side of Monroe Country in various K12 schools and educational sites . These classroom heroes make all the difference. *This role is anticipated to break from end of June until September due to Summer Break. If we have summer opportunities we will offer to employees*

- Pay: $18.50 $20.50 per hour depending on experience.
- Schedule is AM weekdays no nights or weekends!
Duties:
- Supervisingand observingstudents enrolled in the class
- Float where needed based on daily or long term vacancies
- Acting independently and as a team member in directing counseling and instructing childreninplanned/unplanned instructional and recreational activities and daily routines
- Implementingclassroom and behavioral goals as determined by the multidisciplinary instructional team
- Assisting with the implementation of appropriate coping and resolution skills for students
- Assistingthe teacher in small group instruction including planning evaluating and providing direct instruction under the supervision of the teacher
- Assistingthe teacher in preparing instructional materials for classroom teaching and implementingcertain units as directed by the teacher
- Collaboratingwith the teacher in providing progress notes and incident reports as needed
- Planningand implementingextracurricular activities including play productions andseasonal events
- Providingsupervision to student groups during transition times lunch periods and throughout the day
- Maintainingan awareness of current treatment plans of students assigned and being perceptive of the impact that relationships and activities have on the treatment plan objectives
- Communicating these observations to the instructional team.
- Must obtain purchase and pass background check through NYSED.
- Able to perform physical job duties that include walking standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- A valid drivers license and transportation.
- NOTE: You may be asked to travel to different schools and facilities on the west side during the day.
- Experience working with children a plus but not required! Payrate is based on experience
