The Purchasing Manager will oversee procurement vendor relations warehouse operations tool and equipment management cost tracking and project support.
Responsibilities:
- Assign appropriate cost codes and project numbers to all purchase orders and invoices.
- Monitor and track daily deliveries and scheduled shipments.
- Oversee warehouse operations and delegate tasks to warehouse staff.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely billing backorder resolutions and credit processing.
- Manage and track largescale purchase orders.
- Negotiate vendor pricing and maintain strong relationships with current and potential suppliers.
- Manage tool inventory and coordinate equipment repairs through the tool tracking system.
- Set up and monitor rental agreements for tools storage office trailers and manlifts.
- Attend project meetings to address ordering issues and provide budget updates to the project team.
- Oversee tool budgets for all projects.
- Manage and maintain the fleet vehicle GPS program ensuring timely truck departures correct driver assignments and vehicle maintenance scheduling.
MUST HAVE:
- HVAC Refrigeration Plumbing and Process Piping industry experience or skills required
NICE TO HAVE:
- Previous experience in procurement purchasing or supply chain roles
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to establish longterm supplier partnerships.
- Proficiency in sourcing and vendor management practices.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
