Job Description

The Cooperative Bank (TCB) has a fulltime opportunity for a Deposit Operations Specialist II at our corporate headquarters in the heart of Roslindale Village! This position is responsible for ensuring efficient accurate and compliant processing of various backoffice deposit functions which include but are not limited to internal and external customer service escalated deposit support quality assurance account and card fraud research requests returned mail document imaging and audit support.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs daily Item processing reviews which include research and reconcile of various payment transactions including rejected and nonposted GL items IATs returns reversals adjustments load errors and stop payments. When needed it also included handling of DNE ENR COR POS rejects and Reclamations.
  • Reviews and clears check fraud and inactive account fraud alerts on the Verafin platform. Research alert activity using available information and resources to determine whether activity is suspicious and warrants further review and reporting. Validates discrepancies with customers when necessary. Consults with management and the BSA department as appropriate.
  • Reviews and maintains a variety of operational reports for quality assurance and compliance with the Banks policies and procedures. Identifies logs and tracks all exceptions found. Downloads prints and mails out to customers all systemgenerated letters relating to various reports.
  • Review of high dollar checks for potential fraud.
  • Assists with incoming account research requests subpoenas SSI and deposit asset verifications and other related requests for Bank documents. Verifies release authorization identifies scope and deadline and prepares estimate of research costs. Produces accurate and complete records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Two to five years of similar or related experience including time spent in preparatory positions.
  • A high school degree or GED is required.
  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required
  • Strong communication and customer service skills along with maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fastpaced work environment without compromising quality.
  • Strong team player that collaborates effectively with open communication to achieve shared department goals and contribute to a supportive team environment.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • $34.07 $42.59 an hour depending on experience
  • Eligible for medical dental vision life and disability insurance and 401k Plan
