Your role:
The general purpose of the Food & Beverage Attendant role is to keep all supplies and consumables in the lounge and kitchenettes stocked and ready for use. The role also involves occasional front of house service and requires a professional demeanor at all times. In addition to the main function of stocking this role will also include lounge maintenance and cleanliness catering and event setup/teardown food service and cleaning stations/light dishwashing.
Your responsibilities:
- Stocking of all supplies and consumables including drinks snacks coffee teas cutlery napkins condiments etc. in 3F lounge and all kitchenettes.
- Cleanliness and tidiness of all aspects of lounge and kitchenettes.
- Inventory front of house food beverage and supplies.
- Organize food & beverage vendor deliveries in storage
- Assisting with the setup execution and tear down of any catering requirements in our office for both staff and external guests
- Ensuring high quality levels are met when executing all catering to showcase our company in its best light
- Plating and presenting events catering for external guests continental breakfast lunch evening snacks beverages coffee
- Light bartending
- Clean coffee machines and Egros and preparation for morning coffee service on all floors
- Assist with postbreakfast and lunch service cleanup including seating areas plates cutlery.
- Provide assistance to Chef with any lounge equipment service & maintenance requests
- Assist culinary team (if needed) with any lounge maintenance food preparation and cleaning stations/dishwashing cleaning of front of house equipment such as beer taps all coolers ice machines etc.
- Execution of Menu
- Continental breakfast setup: Cereal fruits yogurt and grabandgo stocking
- Ensure plates and cutlery are ready for breakfast service
- Assist Culinary team with lunch service plating
About you:
- Selfmotivated and passionate about hospitality and food service
- Working experience in customer service
- Experience working in a fast paced and highpressure environment
- Strong multitasking abilities in the face of daily deadlines
- Serving it right certificate or willing to acquire
Working conditions:
- Physically demanding job. Must lift heavy objects. Stand on feet for long periods of time. Walk up and down stairs to access storage and coolers
- Has the potential to be hazardous working with cleaning materials hot liquids and sharp objects.
- Must share space with general staff in a safe and responsible manner. Fast paced and high stress environment. Must meet deadlines daily.
- General working hours are 9am5pm with potential for varying hours of work when required.
- Some overtime is required for events
Compensation:
Global Relay advertises the pay range for this role in compliance with British Columbias pay transparency laws. Individual pay rates are determined by evaluating factors such as expertise skills education and professional background.
