Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Guide application teams through the setup of OTEL SKDs or agents (Java Python etc)
Deploy and configure OTEL collectors in environments like Fargate Kubernetes or serverless
Route Telemetry to observability backends
Build reusable OTEL configuration template environment variable bundles and deployment automation assets
Assist with SLI definition and SLO onboarding using available observability platforms
Validate instrumentation output and ensure endtoend trace log and metric correlation
Host enablement sessions workshops or asyn support channels to unblock teams
Create and maintain onboarding documentation FAQs and implementation playbooks
Required Skills and Experience
Strong practical experience with Open Telemetry agents and collector pipelines
Indepth experience with two or more languages commonly used for instrumentation (Java Python )
Familiarity with common observability backends New Relic Splunk Grafana Observe
Experience working with SLI/SLObased observability models
Comfortable deploying to cloudnative environments (EKS fargate Lambda EC2)
Ability to communicate effectively and support application teams though technical enablement
Nice to Have
Experience rolling out observability standards at scale
Exposure to CI/CD platforms and tooling
Familiarity with infrastructure as code
Experience with incident response practices and driving MTTR improvements
