Job Description
Our clients R&D is seeking a highly motivated analytical scientist with an interest in new innovative technology to join the HighThroughput Automation team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about applying bestinclass automation platforms to execute analytical workflows in pharmaceutical R&D. A successful candidate will be responsible for completing custom analytical workpackages for stakeholders across drug modalities and ensuring highquality data generation & reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute analytical workpackages for key stakeholders including solubility stability viscosity crystallization and forceddegradation workflows.
- Operate evaluate and maintain highthroughput automation platforms including Mettler Toledo & Chemspeed automated solid dispensers Unchained Labs Lunatic & Honeybun Hamilton liquid handlers and Agilent UHPLCs.
- Learn analytical skills to apply across a variety of drug modalities including longacting injectables oligonucleotides antibodydrug conjugates and monoclonal antibodies.
- Organize evaluate and present data in an effective and scientific manner across multidisciplinary teams.
- Utilize digital & data tools to design platebased analytical assays and accelerate data analysis (Spotfire).
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation processes helping enhance efficiency and scalability.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Chemistry Chemical Engineering Pharmaceutical Sciences or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of previous experience that provides the knowledge skills and abilities to perform the job including reversedphase HPLC experience
In some cases an equivalency consisting of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the roles requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quantitative method development experience utilizing reversedphase HPLC separations and chromatography software (OpenLab CDS by Agilent preferred).
- Desire to drive innovation through early adoption of stateoftheart automation technologies.
- Ability to apply Microsoft 365 software suite to perform tasks.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot HPLC chromatographic separations and create standards for calibration.
- Previous experience utilizing automation technologies to complete scientific workflows. Ability to independently create protocols is not required but ideal.
- Proficient in scientific communication to work with stakeholders to modify experimental design and clearly communicate results.
- Proven skill in collaboratively managing multiple projects simultaneously in fastpaced team environment.
