Make an Impact Drive Our ESG Vision Forward
At Reitmans (Canada) Ltd. were committed to building a more sustainable responsible future and were looking for an ESG Lead to help us bring that vision to life. Reporting to the VP ESG & Business Development youll take the lead in executing our approved ESG roadmap collaborating closely with teams across the business to drive real measurable progress toward our FY2026 goals.
What Youll Do:
- Lead the implementation of our ESG roadmap by aligning priorities with resources timelines and impact.
- Work crossfunctionally with departments (Global Sourcing Legal Merchants RCL Asia etc.) to embed ESG into business practices.
- Maintain and improve our ESG framework from policy development to daytoday integration.
- Oversee the Social Compliance Program including audit planning followups and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with thirdparty auditors and verification bodies.
- Stay current on ESG regulations and sustainability trends (Canada U.S. Europe) to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Partner with Global Sourcing to align supply chain practices with ESG and regulatory goals.
- Create and deliver ESGrelated training to internal teams to build awareness and engagement.
- Identify and support internal sustainability champions across departments.
Qualifications :
What You Bring:
- Familiarity with product compliance regulations (e.g. REACH CPSIA Prop 65).
- University degree preferably in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- Certification in Corporate Sustainability or ESG Reporting (an asset).
- 56 years of relevant experience with a strong understanding of ESG topics.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect the dots between global trends and company priorities.
- Strong collaborator who can engage diverse teams and influence ESG culture.
- Comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and driving projects in a large complex organization.
- Solid knowledge of ESG reporting standards sustainability best practices and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with apparel/fashion industry certifications is a plus (Higg GRS GOTS SMETA OekoTex FSC).
