Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of low Earth orbit satellites that will provide lowlatency highspeed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.
We are looking for an exceptional attorney to join the legal team supporting Project Kuiper. This role will serve as product counsel for strategic initiatives related to our consumer products and services. You will be responsible for counseling Project Kuipers product marketing engineering compliance and operations teams on a wide range of issues across our consumer and residential business. You will work directly with the business to handle legal issues in businesscentric ways and develop processes that address risk while allowing the business flexibility and freedom to quickly develop services that prioritize and delight our customers.
Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder) or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
5 years of legal experience
Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and inhouse work

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
