Job Description
Position Summary:
A paraprofessional may work in a variety of positions in a school district. The primary roles are to assist and supportteachers and students in various classroom settings including providing instruction managing the classroom environment and assisting with student needs.They work under the direction of a certified teacher offering individual or small group support reinforcing lessons and ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
Position Qualifications:
- Evidence of strong commitment to quality education.
- Evidence of strong organizational skills.
- Evidence of strong oral and written communication skills.
Certificates and Licenses:
Valid Arkansas Paraprofessional certificate or license to meet ADE certification standards for the positions essential duties and responsibilities.
Computer Skills:
Ability to apply basic computer programs (spreadsheet Word Excel PowerPoint etc) to enhance job performance.
