The Opportunity:
The Registration Specialist professionally greets registers and assists clients. This position schedules appointments for clients receiving mental health and substance abuse services and is responsible for answering all phone calls providing accurate information to customers scheduling appointments and transferring calls to appropriate individuals or departments in a professional manner.
The pay range for this role is $17.00 to $18.51 based on education and experience. This job is a fulltime in person position.

What Youll Do:
- Registers patients and verifies and updates necessary patient demographics and payor information in the electronic medical record.
- Schedules and coordinates patient appointments.
- Provides a high level of customer service to patients and coworkers by greeting patients and visitors in a courteous manner and directs individuals to appropriate staff members
- Provides as needed staffing coverage to other North Central Health Care areas.
- Communicates to various customers internal and external through multiple channels including electronic telephonic and in person.
- Ensures effective compliance with front end revenue cycle processes.
- Adheres to scheduled work hours with regular and predictable attendance
What You Bring:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One year of relevant customer service experience
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic working knowledge of computers and computer programs such as Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Outlook Email etc.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with interdisciplinary team including physicians therapists and nurses.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in written and verbal
- Keyboarding skills including ability to use an Electronic Medical Record
- Ability to multitask
- Valid Wisconsin drivers license appropriate insurance coverage and personal vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications Skills Education Licenses Certifications and Requirements:
- Experience working with a diverse patient population including severe and persistent mental illness and substance use disorders
- Previous reception or clerical experience in a medical facility
- Ability to communicate positively and with empathy
- Previous experience with Electronic Medical Records
- Detail oriented
