Director of Auxiliary ProgramsReports to: Head of SchoolSupervises: Kids Corner Director/Manager Administrative Coordinator (Auxiliary Programs) Activities Coordinator (parttime) seasonal/contracted staff and coachesFLSA Status: Fulltime exemptStart Date: July 1 2025Position Summary:The Director of Auxiliary Programs is a key member of the schools leadership team responsible for the development coordination and execution of all nonacademic programming including extended day care afterschool activities enrichment programs camps and student recreational sports. This leader ensures that auxiliary programs are missionaligned financially sustainable and wellintegrated into the life of the Responsibilities:Leadership & StrategyDesign and manage highquality auxiliary programs that meet the needs of students and families enhance school culture and support revenue with the Head of School and Business Office to set and monitor program budgets pricing and with division leaders and faculty to ensure programming complements the academic day and supports the whole seek and pilot new program opportunities in response to student interests and community OversightOversee daily operations of Kids Corner (aftercare program) including scheduling staffing student safety and parent the coordination of enrichment classes and vendorbased programs (e.g. music art STEM dance etc.).Plan and manage seasonal camps including staffing registration and as the primary liaison for external vendors program partners and community & ActivitiesWork directly with parents faculty and staff to recruit and support coaches for recreational teams and as a team coach when needed and available modeling positive engagement and leadership for proper use of facilities scheduling and team & Supervisory DutiesSupervise and support the Kids Corner Director Administrative Coordinator and Activities accurate records for program registration attendance incident reports and all programs are compliant with relevant licensing and safety :Bachelors degree required; advanced degree in education recreation or business a plus35 years experience in program management school leadership or related youth programmingExperience supervising staff and managing multiple programs concurrentlyStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to build relationships with children families faculty and outside partnersEnthusiasm for coaching or developing student sports/rec programsCore Competencies:Entrepreneurial mindset with a practical handson approachStrong understanding of child development and school cultureBudget management and program planning skillsCustomer service orientation and communitybuilding instinctFlexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for events or games
