We currently have exciting opportunities for passionate dedicated Student Admissions and Guidance Officer. The working hours will be 8.305.00 MonThurs & 8.304.30 Fridays plus the occasional evening/weekends. Duties:

  • To assist with the endtoend admissions process for applications from first contact to enrolment. You will be the initial point of contact for applicants which will include supporting prospective students in making their application
  • You will work collaboratively with SHCG colleagues to ensure an efficient and fair application process for all applicants.

Skills/Experience:

  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times being the first point of contact for applicant enquiries providing essential information and supporting students in making appropriate choices.
  • Have a good understanding of adult funding streams
  • Have a good understanding of the application process for 1618 Higher Education and adult audiences being able to provide relevant information about the application process and guidance on areas such as travel finances and course information.

Qualifications:

  • 5 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade C or above (IT is desirable)
  • Level 3/4 Qualification in a relevant field e.g. Business Admin

Ideal Attributes:

  • The ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and promote a good atmosphere in the department
  • Ability to build trusting relationship with students their parents/carers and other stakeholders
  • Reliability honesty and trustworthiness demonstrating the highest professional standards
  • Driving license and/or access to transportation May require cross campus working
