CPP Topside Structure Supervisor

ACCOUNTABILITIES

The job holder is accountable for the following activities during CPP Topside Project execution:

• To follow to monitor and to supervise Structural activities carried out by CPP Contractor and Subcontractor/Vendors at the Topside block prefabrication worksite and at SUBCTRs facilities during the execution phases to ensure that his disciplines contractual and technical requirements are duly applied by Contractor and/or Subcontractors.
• To ascertain that the CPP Topsides facilities are built as per the project requirements; the job holder verify that Contractor and Subcontractors are using latest AFC drawings fabrication procedures and methodologies.
• Reports on a daytoday basis directly to CPP TOPSIDE STR Superintendent.
• Works alongside other Structural supervisors and as such provides accurate progress and/or technical issues on daily basis.
• The job holder is also accountable for demonstrating individually an exemplary behavior about HSSE rules & requirements and ensures compliance with quality standards.
• Searches for the most efficient technical solutions.

ACTIVITIES

• To promote & comply with applicable safety instructions and other Company HSE procedures in all activities.
• To carry out work in compliance with Company values and policies relevant laws and regulations agreed Company priorities and objectives Company standards and procedures and good industry practices.
• To treat all information obtained during course of the work with confidentiality.
• During construction and precommissioning phases the job holder shall:
  • Monitor and control the implementation on site of the approved drawings and plans Surveillance plans Inspection and test plans
  • Monitor and control CTRs daily / weekly progress report for structural prefabrication assembly and erection
  • Liaise with CPY QC team to ensure that the works are closely inspected by the contractors QC inspection team (e.g. RT UT MPI PMI etc.).
  • Follow up on the implementation of decided action plans or other mitigation plan issued
  • Stop & report immediately to Topside Structural Superintendent any anomaly or nonconformity
  • Attend and participate when requested to the various construction meetings and provide support to the STR SPDT in its various reviews
  • Participate to construction HSE or QAQC specific audits or visits; Provide regular inspection & activity reports.
  • Regularly monitor that scaffolding is adequate propose follow up site implementation of the changes agreed by CPY in order for safe and efficient work performance.
  • Ensure that Contractor and SubCTRs personnel are qualified for the task theyve been assigned to.
  • Responsible for monitoring contractors tools equipment & manpower resources are in accordance with approved mobilization plan and report to Structural Superintendent.
  • Assist reporting during all phases and more particularly the closeout report and lesson learn.
• Ensure the correct implementation of the Permit to Work system.
• If required by management the Structural Supervisor will have to work during weekend and/or night shift during critical activities.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

• Major Projects involve the development of new offshore platforms and subsea lines. Projects are executed across several international sites and will require complex interfaces with other entities of Company.
• CPP TOPSIDE Structure Supervisor will be based in EPCs SubContractors premises primarily in China worksite during topside block prefabrication scopes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Have an Associates or BS degree in a technical field or extensive oil & gas Construction experience.
• Have strong working knowledge & experience of China construction yard.
• Professional Experience (number of years): 15.
• Experience within project: (number of years): 10.
• Structural experience is required on topsides EPCIC Project and practical knowledge of Oil & gas Industry practices & applicable codes and standards such as AWS API ISO ASTM etc.
• Conversant with General Arrangement & structural drawings including building marking plans.
• Good leadership skills and good communication skills.
• Ability to work on projects in a complex and multicultural environment.
• Be skilled in using computer programs for word processing database management spreadsheets and email communications. Familiar with PRODOM/MANASA a benefit
• Language: Chinese/English mandatory.
• H2S OPITO and TBOSIET trainings.
