This position is responsible for designing developing and facilitating instructorled courses and ondemand learning content and providing instructional support to employees clients and other business partners.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Researches develops schedules and delivers learning for new initiatives system projects products and promotions as well as new or revised processes policies procedures and regulations to ensure it meets the needs of the organization and enhances employee performance
  • Facilitates virtual and onsite systems training to new employees and existing teams
  • Facilitates virtual and onsite company orientation training for new employees
  • Designs learning materials in a variety of formats including print graphics audio video and animation technologies using a range of courseware and media development tools
  • Manages development of projects from inception to completion
  • Reviews courseware for instructional effectiveness and usability. Considers feedback from end users subject matter experts and leaders for implementing strategies to improve learning materials
  • Provide instructional support assistance by telephone email and other messaging communications
  • Remains current with and have a thorough understanding of the latest industry technology tools and trends in online education and instructional media
  • Working with digital solutions and other technology groups to test the development of business application software including periodic software upgrades
  • Collaborate and partner with Senior leadership HR and broader business stakeholders providing insights and recommendations on Learning and Talent Development inclusive of Leadership Development and Early Career Planning Coaching and Mentoring.
  • Collaborate with proper stakeholders to create a Learning and Development strategy integrated into company culture and business strategy fostering a mindset of continuous growth. Equip our people and leaders with the capabilities required to execute business strategy now and for the future.
  • Implement configure and manage the Learning Management System (LMS) platform to ensure it meets organizational training needs and goals.
  • Upload and update course content ensuring all materials are compatible with the LMS and meet quality standards for educational effectiveness and accessibility.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to the LMS providing support to users experiencing difficulties with accessing or utilizing the system.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (required)
  • 3 years commercial insurance industry experience (required)

  • Excellent oral and written communication interpersonal and presentations skills
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to learn new applications and system features quickly
  • Ability to plan organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to manage time effectively under minimal supervision
  • Ability to gain the confidence and respect from all levels of the organization
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
  • Willingness to stay abreast of new technologies with employee learning and development
  • Flexibility to travel as needed sometimes with little notice (preferred)
  • Experience with curriculum development (preferred)
  • Experience with advanced instructional authoring technologies and elearning platforms (preferred)
  • Experience navigating configuring and administering a Learning Management System (LMS) (preferred)
  • Proven track record of developing and delivering training programs in a corporate environment (preferred)
