ADJUNCT FACULTY BACHELOR OF FINE ARTS
Parttime BFA Faculty to teach our FirstYear Seminar Course
The Pacific Northwest College of the Arts (PNCA) invites applications for a parttime adjunct faculty pool in the undergraduate Bachelor of Fine Arts program to teach our FirstYear Seminar class for Fall 2025. This course meets inperson at our campus in Portland Oregon. This is a onecredit nonstudio class that runs every Friday 9am to 10:30 am for 10 weeks. All class materials will be provided. The class is graded pass/fail.
The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and be interested in helping college students transition from high school to college. The course is designed to help students create a sense of belonging at PNCA and to help them know what resources are available on campus. Topics covered in class include time management culture of critique conflict resolution and financial management. Faculty must use provided syllabus and materials.
Minimum Qualifications
MFA or MA
Demonstrated achievement and involvement in chosen discipline.
Meet in person on the PNCA campus in Portland.
Willingness to learn and use Canvas PNCAs Learning Management System.
Preferred Qualifications
Teaching experience.
Background in Student Support roles.
Knowledge of critical and inclusive pedagogies.
