Job Summary

As a Vice President Fund Servicing within the JPMorgan Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Fund Services Global Reconciliations Investigations team you will be responsible for leading the Custody versus Accounting Reconciliations Asia Pacific Trades Breaks Research and Resolution team. You will manage the workflow through the life cycle of Trades products and ensure all daily controls and processing are completed. You will have the opportunity to provide direction and leadership to the team interact with global teams and managers and contribute to risk management. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop your leadership and communication skills in a dynamic fastpaced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the Custody vs Accounting Reconciliations APAC Trades Breaks Research and Resolution team.
  • Manage the workflow through the life cycle of Trades products.
  • Control the daily operational management and workflow.
  • Maximize team capacity through effective resource planning and ensure robust team structure through training and succession planning.
  • Ensure completion and signoff of all daily controls and processing including client service enquiry resolution cash and stock break & event management and production of key metrics.
  • Own issues related to the Trades Recons function and ensure timely escalation to Operational and Risk leads.
  • Ensure adherence to global escalation policies maintain awareness of RED policies and procedures attest to operational procedures and comply with ethics and behavior standards.
  • Provide direction and leadership to the team ensuring effective communication of strategic and regulatory changes.
  • Act as a focal point for issue planning or crisis review situations requiring flexibility in production processes and technical assessments.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures in line with new policies and risk management activities.
  • Ensure viable Business Continuity and Concentration plans are in place tested according to Bank Policy and familiar to all staff.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

  • Exceptional leadership and staff development skills with team management experience.
  • Excellent communication influencing and negotiation skills for building collaborative relationships internally and externally.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization managing pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong focus on control with a deep understanding of operational risk.
  • Critical daily management of Operations Team.
  • Expertise in operational areas such as Reconciliation Settlements and Trade Support.
  • Strong people management skills capable of leading and motivating managers.
  • Ability to continuously learn new markets products and processes.
  • Strong risk and control awareness prioritizing workloads and meeting critical deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability for operational and project deliverables.
  • Confident communicator across all mediums with internal and external clients.
