Job Description

Murgado Ford of Chicago is looking for an organized knowledgeable experienced Dispatcher to join our growing team!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The dispatcher must be able to organize lead and control the flow of work through the service department in a professional timely manner while ensuring quality repairs at a fair cost to the customer. We are looking for someone dedicated to a job well done/ fixed first visit and a willingness to go above and beyond for our customers and team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor all open repair orders and assign new repair orders according to technician availability
Monitor technician schedules including late nights Saturdays vacation training and sickness etc
Notify technicians if MPI has a red flag appointed to them and they havent responded in a reasonable time limit
Assign waiters to technicians that will be available to start work immediately
Notify Shop Foreman/Shop Manager if a repair order is open for more than 3 days and is not waiting for a part to arrive.
Track repeat visits using the Microsoft Excel log
Notify Shop Foreman/Shop Manager of a repeat visit and follow up with technician to make sure Foreman/Manager has been involved and signed off on repair
Check all Prepaid maintenance DSA Addon lines have been signed and properly documented
Ensure all no problem found (NPF) lines are signed by Foreman/Manager
Assign technician/porter/apprentice for quality control (QC)check if necessary
Ensure work is evenly distributed among resources eg; one technician cant hold multiple repair orders open because they cant get to all of it in a timely manner (redistribution may be necessary)
Have short interviews with service advisors daily
Review Appointments on a daily basis.
Ensure fixed right first time repairs
Key skills and Competencies
Communicating effectively with colleagues by giving them clear and concise Information explanations and directions
High levels of oral expression comprehension and speech clarity
Maintain accurate logging of shop Notes In Mpi
Investigate Customer Complaints and seek for resolutions
Delegate all work so that production is maximized
Organized and able to multitask
Advanced customer service skills
Computer skills and Knowledge of industry
Two years of related experience and or training in customer service dispatching or project management
