About Our Client
Our client is a leading provider of asphalt paving road construction and infrastructure development services in Puerto Rico. With over 20 years of industry experience they deliver highquality projects for both public and private sectors throughout the island. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer to join their executive team in San Juan.
Position Overview
Our client is looking for a seasoned financial professional to oversee all financial aspects of their growing asphalt construction business. The ideal candidate will provide strategic financial leadership optimize financial operations and help drive sustainable growth as they expand their presence across Puerto Rico.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct all financial activities including accounting treasury financial planning and analysis tax and risk management
- Lead the development and implementation of short and longterm financial strategies
- Provide financial insights to support key business decisions and capital investments
- Manage banking relationships and secure favorable financing for equipment and expansion
- Oversee financial reporting budgeting and forecasting processes
- Implement cost control measures to maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations specific to construction industry
- Work closely with executive team to drive business growth and profitability
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or related field (MBA preferred)
- CPA highly preferred but not required
- 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience with at least 5 years in senior financial management
- Construction or related industry experience strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting practices and projectbased financial management
- Experience with constructionspecific financial software
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills
- Strong leadership abilities with experience managing finance teams
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive salary range: $180000$200000 based on experience and qualifications
