• The Assistant Manager ensures the smooth running of the daytoday operations for the hotel restaurant and special events including banquets.
• Supervise staff and ensure that customer expectations are exceeded at all times
• Keep the food and beverage areas clean and maintain exemplary food hygiene practices
• Assist with recruitment training and management of staff
• Assist with inventory management; oversee proper unpacking of weekly orders ensuring storage locations are neat and tidy at all times and part of the monthly counting ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
• Able to address customer complaints or issues and resolve matters as expediently as possible
• Oversee food storage and dining areas ensuring that the facility remains in compliance with safety regulation and health codes
• Assist with cocktail creation and menu development. Let your passion shine!
• Lead and execute weddings conferences and signature events; ensure that no detail is missed and the event is delivered flawlessly
• Daily billing and financial responsibilities to be completed accurately and efficiently
• A leader in daily communication on guest feedback employee performance and notes from the days shift

• Flexible to work various shifts (early mornings late evenings weekends split shifts)
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Basic computer skills
• Highly organized individual with the ability to handle numerous tasks at one time
• Strong proven leadership qualities and management skills
• Degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline is a strong asset
• 2 years in a hotel or restaurant industry including at least 1 year in a supervisory position
• Working knowledge of MICROS or similar P.O.S. system is an asset
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses certificates or permits
