About the opportunity

The Rural Clinical School (Broken Hill) is looking for a motivated and selfdriven Executive Assistant to join their high performing your new role you will provide the full suite of professional executive support services to the Head of Rural Clinical School (HORCS) ensuring the specific needs and daytoday requirements are managed in highly efficient and effective manner. This role requires extensive administrative and organisational skills in order to manage detailed operational activities on a daily basis.

Client service skills are also required employing tact and diplomacy and ensuring matters brought to the Office of the HOD are prioritised and managed effectively.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • provide broad high level professional executive support to the HORCS and other Senior Leadership Group staff and effectively manage the general day to day office operations and administration activity

  • build and manage effective working rapport with key stakeholders and staff across the University and community partners

  • facilitate the flow of information on behalf of the HORCS including disseminating information from the HORCS and gathering background information to assist the HORCS to make informed decisions

  • apply all relevant administrative policies processes and procedures make recommendations for improvements (if needed) and establish and implement those improvements to streamline administration systems within the HORCS and Senior Leadership Group Staff.

About you

  • ability to independently compose correspondence without supervision and draft minutes and agenda

  • administrative experience

  • advanced computer skills in the MS Office suite with extensive diary management experience

  • analytic skills and the ability to bring multiple perspectives to problem solving

  • current NSW Drivers Licence

  • excellent interpersonal relationship building and influencing skills with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders whilst ensuring a strong client focussed outlook

  • taking initiative and exercising sound judgement in resolving matters that may arise as part of normal daily work

  • excellent organisational and time management skills particularly when working with a large volume of enquiries
