Job Description

Assistant General Manager (AGM) - MEP Sales
Location: Bangalore
Reports To: AVP - Projects
Job Overview:
The AGM MEP Sales will be responsible for leading and managing the sales strategy development
and execution for the MEP division. This role requires strategic thinking leadership and deep
knowledge of MEP products and services to drive sales growth and establish strong relationships
with clients across various industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B
sales project management and the MEP sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Strategy and Planning:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue and growth
targets within the MEP sector.
o Identify new business opportunities including targeting new clients markets and
geographies.
o Define and implement a sales pipeline management process to track opportunities
and maximize revenue potential.
2. Client Relationship Management:
o Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients including architects
engineers contractors and consultants.
o Provide expert consultation and technical support to clients throughout the sales
process.
o Negotiate contracts and agreements ensuring all terms align with company
standards and policies.
3. Team Leadership and Development:
o Lead and manage the MEP sales / tendering team setting clear goals expectations
and performance metrics.
o Provide training coaching and development opportunities to enhance the team s
sales capabilities.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the sales department.
4. Market Research and Competitive Analysis:
o Stay updated on industry trends competitive landscape and technological
advancements in MEP systems.
o Use market intelligence to refine sales strategies and identify new market segments.
o Conduct regular competitor analysis and adjust sales approach accordingly.
5. Project Coordination:
o Collaborate with internal teams (design engineering procurement etc.) to ensure
smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
o Oversee the preparation and delivery of technical proposals pricing models and
bids.
o Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure alignment with client expectations.
6. Reporting and Performance Metrics:
o Provide regular sales reports to the senior management team highlighting key
performance indicators (KPIs) sales forecasts and achieved targets.
o Monitor and analyze sales data to track progress identify trends and make
necessary adjustments.
7. Budget Management:
o Ensure cost control and adherence to sales budgets while achieving business
objectives.
o Develop accurate sales forecasts and align resources accordingly to maximize sales
efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications:
Educational Qualification:
o Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferably with a focus on
MEP).
o MBA or any relevant post-graduate qualification is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of 12 15 years of experience in MEP sales project management or
business development with at least 3 5 years in a managerial or leadership role.
o Proven track record of successfully managing sales teams and driving revenue
growth in the MEP industry.
o Strong understanding of MEP systems construction and infrastructure projects.
o Experience working with large-scale projects and handling multiple stakeholders.
Skills:
o Strong leadership negotiation and communication skills.
o Excellent knowledge of MEP products solutions and services.
o Proficiency in CRM software Microsoft Office Suite and other sales tools.
o Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
o Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Personal Traits:
o Proactive goal-oriented and customer-centric.
o Strong problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to work under pressure and handle complex sales situations.
Additional Requirements:
Ability to travel as required for client meetings site visits and industry events.
Strong networking skills within the construction MEP and related sectors.
