Parks & Reserves Coordinator
Vegetation & Civic Spaces Coordinator
Open Space & Community Facilities are calling for Expressions of Interest (EOI) to cover periods of leave for the Parks & Reserves Coordinator and Vegetation & Civic Spaces Coordinator. This EOI will cover the period from 1 July 2025 30 June 2027
If you are interested in submitting an EOI for the Parks & Reserves Coordinator please address the following criteria in your submission:
- Horticultural based Trade Certificate; Certificate in Local Government; or Post Graduate qualification in relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in horticultural or parks maintenance services inclusive of staff management project management turf management contractor management contract administration and cost estimating.
- Demonstrated knowledge parks and sporting fields (turf synthetic and asphalt); construction and maintenance techniques and development of maintenance schedules for playing surfaces floodlights; irrigation etc.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cemetery operations including excavation of graves and internment of ashes in lawn cemeteries.
If you are interested in submitting an EOI for the Vegetation & Civic Spaces Coordinator please address the following criteria in your submission:
- Horticultural Trade Certificate; Certificate in Local Government; or Post Graduate qualification in relevant field.
- Demonstrated experience in horticultural services inclusive of staff management project management contractor management contract administration and cost estimating.
- Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and / or construction of playgrounds; irrigation systems gardens and landscaped areas; civic / CBD areas and trees on Council managed land.
- Demonstrated knowledge of cemetery operations including excavation of graves; installation of monuments and interment of ashes.
- Knowledge of Tree Preservation Orders (or the like) as well as demonstrated experience inspecting trees for the purpose of issuing permits for removal or providing advice regarding ongoing maintenance.
- Knowledge of the Business Units relationships and processes with developers throughout the development application process.
